Do you really think that, at this point, it is feasible to find a solution for Cinavia watermark removal?
Even very simple and "naive" watermarking techniques are virtually unbreakable if the implementation details are unknown, especially if they employ cryptographic techniques.
Only reverse engineering of a Cinavia-aware software player could gain insight into needed details and eventual crypto-keys. Are there other options?

Seems like it may be a good year before it gets fully "mastered", as DVD-A is a weaker type of watermark from the same authors, yet it took significant amount of time to "crack" it.

Regards.

About the only thing you can do at the moment is either play your backups on your computer, get a streaming device like a Boxee or WDTV(that doesn't support Cinavia), or buy a different hardware blu ray player, which would be pretty easy to find considering there's only a few players out at the moment that support Cinavia. But its not really worth it yet since "The Losers" is the only disc that is CONFIRMED to have it. Just play the original for now.

I am aware of the "only things" I can do at the moment. In fact, I do not have to do anything yet, as I don't plan to purchase The Losers ever and have a standalone player without Cinavia support.

I was curious, asking fengtao if he has some strategy and new insights in defeating Cinavia, as I don't see that this could be accomplished any time soon; by the time Cinavia gets eventually broken, every major title would contain it and all new players will support it as it is now part of the AACS LA requirement and agreement. Simultaneously, old players would slowly die due to aging.

But I'm used to getting no responses whatsoever from fengtao for the reasons unknown to me, and my posts on this forum have tendency to mysteriously vanish into thin air...

Anyway, thanks for your intention to give me a help.

Maybe it is because he has already answered them publicly. Read this from Fengtao: http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=7102

The only posts that disappear here are those that violate the rules or are otherwise rude or inappropriate.

Certainly I have read it. But then, what's the purpose of welcoming a discussion of it:

This is a hot topic on many reputable sites, but here everything is told in a "public announcement"?

It's off topic here, but I never used a single rude or inappropriate word. For example, once stated some facts about Passkey and nobody cared to disprove me - instead, the post vanished. This one discussed security issues, but got no reply whatsoever, and was discouraged to buy additional DVDFab option.

Regards.

Hi alcyone,

Thank for your feedback. Anyway, I think cinavia can be defeated eventually as any protection, it's just time.

BTW, our new website supports getting key online, so no email will be needed in the future.

Best Regards,
Fengtao

Is there a list of all BD movies with Cinavia embedded?

Thanks.

Fengtao,
just a thought, is "patch" for player/PS3 firmware could be a solution for Cinavia?
